The Triple A European Masters Tournament at the San Roque Golf & Resort came to a close with an exciting finale, wrapping up three days of intense competition. The opening tournament of the season did not disappoint, with more than 60 young golfers (boys and girls category) from around the world showcasing their talent, resilience, and determination.

Day 1: Setting the Stage

From the very first tee-off, it was clear that this tournament would be fiercely competitive. The players were eager to make a strong start, knowing that early momentum could be key to securing a top spot on the leaderboard. While the conditions were calm, setting the stage for some low scores, the pressure of a major WAGR-ranked event was palpable.

Day 2: Winds of Change

The second day brought a whole new level of challenge. As the wind picked up, the course became much tougher, forcing players to adapt their strategies. Sebastian Desoisa, competing in the U21 Boys category under the Gibraltar flag, rose to the occasion with back-to-back rounds of 70. His consistent performance under pressure pushed him to the top of the leaderboard at 4 under par, solidifying his position as the one to beat.

However, the chasing pack wasn’t far behind. Alex Zyla and Joel Bracegirdle kept the competition tight, with Zyla trailing just four strokes behind Desoisa after a solid round of 72. The battle for the top spot was intensifying as Day 3 approached.

In the U21 Girls category, Sveva Gherardi delivered an exceptional round of 71, climbing to the top of the leaderboard at even par. Gherardi’s ability to navigate the tricky greens and strong winds gave her a two-stroke lead heading into the final round. With the competition close behind, the stage was set for an intense Day 3 showdown.

Day 3: Championship Decider

As the final day of the Triple A European Masters dawned, the atmosphere was electric. All eyes were on the leaders, but with conditions still challenging, anything could happen.

In the U21 Boys category, Sebastian Desoisa put on a clinic, shooting an incredible 67 in the final round. His steady play and clutch shots secured him the tournament win, finishing the event 7 under par. Ben Zyla also stepped up with an impressive final round of 70, while his twin brother, Alex Zyla, carded a solid 72, but neither could catch Desoisa’s lead.

On the girls’ side, Sveva Gherardi held her nerve to shoot a 77, sealing her victory despite the challenging conditions. Her final round performance capped off a stellar three days of golf, where her focus and consistency proved unbeatable.
