The prestigious San Roque Club’s Old Course recently played host to the climax of junior golf excellence at the Triple A European Final, marking the thrilling conclusion of the Triple A World Junior Golf Series. From April 23rd to 25th, the verdant fairways witnessed an intense showdown among Europe’s most promising young talents, culminating in moments of triumph and displays of sheer skill.

AAA European Final

Boys U21 Category

  • Winner: Leif Breede, a Jason Floyd Golf Academy Elite student, claimed victory with an impressive score of 215, displaying exceptional skill and poise despite adverse weather conditions. 🌬
  • Runner-up: Roy Willemsen put up a formidable challenge with a score of 222.
  • Third Place: Robin Udonov demonstrated consistent with a solid score of 226.

Girls U21 Category

  • Champion: Cristina Albertazzi seized the title with a remarkable score of 213, showcasing her talent with outstanding rounds of 67 and 69 in the opening days.
  • Second Place: Ottavia Franzinelli trailed behind with a score of 220. 🏌️‍♀️
  • Third Place: Irene Garcia delivered a commendable performance with a score of 221.

Order of Merit

As the curtains drew to a close on the 2023-2024 Triple A World Junior Golf Series season, the spotlight shifted to the standout performers who distinguished themselves over the course of the series. 

🥇 In the girl’s category, JFGA student Ottavia Franzinelli emerged as the epitome of consistency and excellence, claiming victory in the Order of Merit with an impressive score of 7610 points. In 2nd and 3rd place were also Italian talented golfers Cristina Albertazzi and Siria Ballini, with scores of 4000 and 3490 points, respectively.

🥇 On the boys’ side, Dutch sensation Roy Willemsen clinched the top spot in the Order of Merit with a total of 8061 points. Notably, Leif Breede’s stellar performance in the Triple A European Final propelled him to a commendable second place in the Order of Merit. While, Roman Pivoda finished third on the Order of Merit with a total score of 5095 points.

🏌️‍♂️ The Triple A World Junior Golf Series schedule is out for next academic year! Featuring 6 WAGR-ranked tournaments across Europe’s finest courses, including San Roque Club Old Course, San Roque Golf Resort, La Hacienda Links, Alcaidesa, and Real Club de Golf Sotogrande. ⛳️

Compete in the U21 Boys and Girls WAGR categories over 54 holes and have a chance to win the Order of Merit. The series employs a point system similar to the FedEx Cup, culminating in the top 60 players qualifying for the AAA European Final 🏆
