The 2023–2024 JFGA Scholarships College Series concluded with a competitive display of skill and determination during the semi-final and final matches held at the prestigious San Roque Club Old Course.
Qualification for the regional and national match play phases was earned through a series of stroke play tournaments in which NCAA tournament guidelines were utilised, such as course length and team structure. Each player went through qualifying to represent their team. The teams competed in three tournaments throughout the regular season. In each event, players had to qualify for their teams, with only five players representing their college in the official tournament round, with the four best scores out of the 5-player team counting for the teams’ aggregate score. 🇺🇸
Representing the Triple A Elite Program, Oklahoma State University and Arizona State University secured their places in the regional and national finals beating the University of Florida & Stanford through the regular season tournaments. Similarly, the University of Alabama and Texas Tech, hailing from the Triple A Junior Program, earned their spots through a rigorous qualifying process by knocking out Duke.
Individual accomplishments were acknowledged, by the Order of Merit standings during the regular season. Ottavia Franzinelli, a 2025 JFGA Scholarships Recruit representing Arizona State University, clinched the Triple A Elite Program Order of Merit with an impressive 50 points. Markus Jin, a 2027 JFGA Scholarships recruit, showcased his prowess on behalf of the University of Alabama, emerging as the overall winner and the winner of the Triple A Junior Program with an outstanding tally of 54 points, Special mention goes to fellow University of Alabama representee Konrad Schliep, a 2025 JFGA Scholarships recruit.
In Regionals Finals, 1st place in the Triple A Elite Program would face 2nd place in the Triple A Junior Program and vice versa. Therefore, Arizona State University faced the University of Alabama, while Texas Tech Faced Oklahoma State University.
Arizona State University VS University of Alabama
Representing Arizona State University in the Final were Cami Beuret, Enzo Desgranges, Harald Van Ommeren, Bastien Lancesseur, and Filippo Zilio. While University of Alabama had Joel Bracegirdle, Konrad Schliep, Markus Jin, Trian Kalatzis and Francisco. Joel, Konrad, and Markus won their matches for the University of Alabama, while Francisco and Bastien halved their game and Filippo won the only game for Arizona State University.
Oklahoma State University vs Texas Tech
In the second Semi-Final, Oklahoma State University’s team, comprised of Lowen Stephens, Will Sherman, Brandon Brooker, Andrew Rojas, and Lasse Zierz, faced off against Texas Tech’s representatives, Thaddeus Huanigg, Tito Von Hessen, Maria Khristenko, Milo Kaussen, and Logan Simpson. The match was a nail-biter, with Andrew and Lasse evenly matching Thaddeus and Tito, while Milo clinched a win for Texas Tech. However, Oklahoma State University’s Will and Lowen emerged victorious in their matches, securing a spot in the final for their university.
In the final, the runners-up from each division, University of Alabama and Oklahoma State University, squared off. Every match was tightly contested, keeping the outcome uncertain until the ninth hole. Ultimately, the University of Alabama clinched a commanding victory, with Joel, Konrad, Francisco, and Trian all emerging victorious in their matches. Lasse contributed the lone point for Oklahoma State University.
Texas Tech confidently secured third place with a final score of 4-1, as Thaddy, Maria, Tito, and Logan emerged victorious in their matches. Filippo claimed the sole point for Arizona State University.

As the 2023–2024 JFGA Scholarships College Series draws to a close, it not only celebrates the triumphs of team cohesion but also highlights the remarkable talent and dedication displayed by each competitor from the Jason Floyd Golf Academy. The launch of the JFGA Scholarships College Series is evidence of the commitment of the Jason Floyd Golf Academy team, who aim to upgrade the series for the 2024/25 season to facilitate students to be college-ready.
