Highlights of Day 3 – Triple A European Open Tournament
As the leaderboard reflects the Triple A European Open was a sensational event. From start to finish it was fuelled with passion, dedication and skill from all who entered our tournament. Our penultimate tournament of the year had over 70 golfers, all playing through gorgeous conditions at the San Roque Golf & Resort Course. The tournament ended on another sunny, dry day making good conditions for an entertaining finish!
The U21 Boys category saw Filip Lukas hold onto his outstanding form, scoring another round under par! Filip scored 71 (-1), 71 (-1) and 69 (-3) putting him 8 shots ahead of second place Kai Notteboom. Filip shot his first round in the 60s and made 15 birdies over the 3 rounds, a massive achievement and congratulate Filip not only on this but for securing his first Triple A tournament win!! We also want to congratulate Thaddeus Huainigg on his 3rd place finish and Kai Notteboom for finishing 2nd in the U21s Boys category and 1st in the U15 Mixed class. There were some sensational moments for the 15 year old Swiss golfer, putting some pressure on Filip in the final round as he went 2 under par through the front 9.
In the U21 Girls category, previous student Ebba Mejer came out on top after a class performance of 72 (level par) for the second day in a row! Ebba’s composure allowed her to shoot consistent scores and deservingly put her in the top spot of the Triple A European Open U21 Girls Category.
An absolutely glorious tournament with some amazing individual performances and great attitudes by all. A massive thank you must go out to everyone who competed, supported and helped make this event possible. We are very proud to host such talent at our events and look forward to our last tournament of 2024/2025….
