The Triple A European Open 2024 at the San Roque Club Old Course has officially kicked off, and the first two rounds have been a thrilling display of top-tier golfers worldwide. With both the boys’ and girls’ categories competing in this year’s tournament, there’s been plenty of excitement, and the leaderboard is already beginning to take shape.

At the end of Day 1, in the boy’s category, the leaders were Andrea Gallini, Thaddeus Huainigg, Viggo Olsson Mörk and Matus Cedzo, all with a score of 70 (2 under par), bringing a lot of expectations of below-par scores for the second day.

On Day 1, in the girl’s category, Ottavia Franzinelli Socini Guelfi, winner of the Triple A classic last month, was in the lead. She closed the first day of the competition with a score of 70, followed by Barbora Vinkler with a score of 74 and Siria Ballini with a score of 76. Siria is a JFGA Junior Student and winner of last year’s Triple A Final.

Round 2 of the Triple A European Open, the weather conditions were challenging, with strong winds all around the course. This made it difficult for the competitors to shoot below-par scores.

On Day 2, the best score in the U21 girls’ category was 72 by JFGA elite student Cami Beuret. Currently in first place with 147 is Barbora Vinkler, last year’s Triple A European Open winner for the Girls U21 category. Close behind is Ottavia Franzinelli, with a score of 149. In third place is Siria Ballini with a score of 153.

In the boys category, the best score of the round was scored by JFGA Elite student Georg Brutsche with a score of 69. Andrea Gallini finishes Day 2 with a score of 71, which puts him on top of the U21 Boys category with a score of 141. Thaddeus Huainigg closely follows with a total score of 143, while Viggo Olsson Mörk is third with a total score of 148.

Overall, the second round of the Triple A European Open on The San Roque Club Old Course was a thrilling day of golf, with some of the top players battling it out for the top spot. With so much talent on display, we can expect a nail-biting finish to the tournament, and it will be fascinating to see who comes out on top.
