The Triple A European Invitational teed off yesterday at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande under heavy cloud cover, no wind, and dry grass conditions. With the elements playing little role in the challenge, the course itself became the true test, demanding precision and strategic play from the field.
Boys’ Category – Alexander Zyla Sets the Standard
Alex Zyla delivered a stellar performance, signing for an impressive 69, securing the top spot after Round 1. Filip Lukas and Thaddeus Huainigg followed with solid rounds of 73, keeping themselves well in the mix heading into the second day. With the leaderboard still tightly packed, Day 2 promises an exciting battle at the top.
Girls’ Category – Hannah Lee-McNamara Leads After Round 1
In the girls’ division, Hannah Lee-McNamara took control with a composed 75, positioning herself as the one to beat. Close behind, Sveva Guerardi sits just one shot back at 76, while Cami Beuret, at 78, remains in striking distance. With just a few strokes separating the leaders, the competition is heating up.
Looking Ahead – Day 2 Awaits
With the first round in the books, all eyes turn to Day 2. Can the leaders hold their ground, or will the chasers make their move? With the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande proving to be a demanding test, consistency will be key in the battle for the top.
