At Jason Floyd Golf Academy, we aim to create a pathway for our students and help them prepare for College golf by understanding how the regular college season works and the team aspect of college golf. At the start of the year, each student was drafted into a team, with three teams in the Elite Conference and three in the Junior Conference. The top two teams from each conference advanced to the Final Four. Below is a breakdown of how the College Series concluded.

Semi final

9-Hole Match Play – San Roque Golf & Resort

UCLA vs Alabama
Alabama secured a 3–2 victory, led by strong performances from Olek Zawistowski, who won 4 & 3, and Makar Savych, who delivered a dominant 5 & 4 win. UCLA’s only victory came from Alessio Brunella, who defeated Ryan Killorn 3 & 2.

Arizona vs Texas
This was an intense contest, with all five matches decided on the final green. For Arizona, Jamie Van Tol and Maria Khristenko each edged their matches, winning 1 up. Texas responded through Ewan Widor and Harry Riley, who also claimed 1 up victories, leaving the match tied and forcing a playoff.

Coaches selected one player each, with the first hole at San Roque Golf & Resort chosen as the playoff stage. Maria Khristenko held her nerve, sinking a 25-foot birdie putt to defeat Ewan Widor and secure Arizona’s place in the final.

Final

9-Hole Match Play – San Roque Old Course

Arizona vs Alabama

Arizona delivered a dominant performance in the final, making up for last year’s narrow defeat. Milo Kaussen, Maria Khristenko, Jamie Van Tol, and Joel Bracegirdle each won their match play contests against Alabama, setting the tone early.

Team captain Thomas De Klerk halved his match by winning the final hole, sealing 4.5–0.5 victory.

Arizona were crowned champions, finishing the final unbeaten.
