Welcome back to the second tournament of the year in the Triple A World Junior Golf Series, hosted at the beautiful San Roque Club Golf & Resort. The weather forecast is in our favour this week, and with it, a fantastic atmosphere as talented young golfers from across Europe have gathered for the second edition of the Triple A European Championship.

Day 1 Highlights – A Promising Start
The opening round delivered excitement, strong performances, and tight competition across both categories.
In the Boys Division:
-
Thomas De Klerk and Erik Groth are tied at the top of the leaderboard, both finishing with an impressive 2-under-par (-2).
-
Thaddeus produced one of the standout moments of the day, carding an eagle on the 16th and a birdie on the 18th, finishing at -1, tied with Louis Hawes.
-
The wind eased compared to previous days, creating perfect conditions for low scoring — and the players certainly took advantage.

Girls Division – Strong Competition & Determination
In the girls’ category, competition remains tight:
-
Former WAGR Triple A Champion Maria Khristenko is currently tied with Siria Ballini at +4.
-
Sadly, Marie Witzmann had to withdraw from the event due to injury. We wish her a speedy recovery and hope to see her back on course very soon.

What’s Ahead – Day 2 Awaits
With clear skies, light winds, and a course in excellent condition, today promises another exciting round of top-level junior golf. Players are motivated, the leaderboard is tight, and everything is set for a thrilling continuation of the championship.
