The first-ever Solheim Cup hosted in Spain unfolded with a dramatic 14-point draw that ultimately favored Europe – the defending champions retained their coveted trophy. The spotlight, however, shone brightly on Spain’s own golf sensation, Carlota Ciganda, who emerged as an unquestionable icon in Spanish, European, and global women’s golf.
The stakes were high as Europe aimed for an unprecedented third consecutive victory, while Carlota Ciganda sought to conquer the ultimate challenge of winning on her home turf after clinching titles in the most prestigious amateur and professional tournaments in Spain.
