One of Europe’s only junior golf series that never stops for winter

While most junior golfers across Europe are packing away their clubs for the season, ours are teeing off under blue skies in Sotogrande.

That’s the reality of the Triple A World Junior Series — one of the only WAGR-ranked junior circuits in Europe that runs a full season from September through to April, without pausing for the cold months. While other circuits shut down for winter, this one keeps going.

What is Triple A World Series?

Six WAGR-ranked tournaments across three categories, with every round contributing to a season-long Order of Merit. Only the top 60 players in each category qualify for the World Final — making every shot in every round count.

Six WAGR-ranked tournaments  •  Three categories: U21 Boys, U21 Girls, U15 Mixed  •  60 qualifiers per category for the World Final  •  World Final: March 10–12

Golf all winter? Yes, really.

Across most of Europe, junior golf pauses for winter — courses close, and players are left waiting for spring to pick up where they left off. Triple A doesn’t stop. Six events, one continuous season, no long break in form or competition.

The road to the World Final

Every tournament adds to a player’s Order of Merit score, with only 60 spots per category securing a place at the World Final, taking place March 10–12.

Round 1: Triple A European Masters, Season 26/27

The new season is officially underway. We kicked things off at the first tee of San Roque Golf & Resort, welcoming back familiar faces and meeting several new players joining the series this year. Conditions were tougher than the calm, quiet practice round had suggested — a surprisingly windy day caught out a few players still getting to know the course, especially those new to the region.

On the JFGA Academy side, Phoebe Bright was the standout of the day, carding five birdies in her round for one of the most promising starts to the season.
