The final event of the 25/26 Triple A World Junior Golf Series got underway in style at the stunning San Roque Club Old Course. With scoreable conditions and moderate winds, players took advantage early, producing some excellent scoring to kick off the tournament.

As the last stop of the season, this week not only crowns event champions but will also decide the Triple A Order of Merit winner, calculated across all six tournaments — adding even more intensity to the competition.

 

U21 Boys – Bracegirdle Leads the Way

Joel Bracegirdle sits at the top of the leaderboard after an impressive opening round of 70 (-2). Showing great consistency, he split his scoring evenly with a 35 on both the front and back nine, while recording five birdies to set the early pace.

Just one shot behind, Thaddeus Huainigg, Tito Von Hessen, and Erik Groth are tied for second on 71 (-1). Huainigg carded three birdies and went under par on the front nine, while Von Hessen matched the low score with five birdies and a strong under-par back nine. Groth also impressed with four birdies and a solid front nine performance to keep himself firmly in contention.

Adrian Friis and Philip Luders sit tied for fifth on level par 72. Friis recorded two birdies in his round, while Luders stood out with four birdies and an eagle on Hole 8 — one of several highlight moments from the day.

 

U21 Girls – Wong Shines with Best Round of the Day

Sabrina Wong produced a standout performance to lead the U21 Girls after Day 1, firing a superb 68 (-4) — the best score across the entire field. Her round was highlighted by a sensational 30 (-6) back nine, along with five birdies and an eagle on Hole 17, putting her firmly in control heading into Day 2.

Siria Ballini sits in second after a solid 73, featuring two birdies and a steady level-par back nine to stay within striking distance.

Maria Khristenko holds third on 76, also producing a composed level-par back nine along with a birdie to keep herself in contention.

Victoria Jackson and Ana Usenik are tied for fourth on 77. Jackson showed consistency with a level-par back nine, while Usenik recorded four birdies in her round to remain close to the leaders.
