The final day of the Triple A European Open delivered everything you could hope for — great weather conditions, exciting golf, and some truly impressive scoring performances. As the penultimate event of the 25/26 Triple A World Junior Golf Series season, the stage was perfectly set at San Roque Club for a dramatic conclusion.

U21 Boys – Huainigg Finishes with a Flourish

Thaddeus Huainigg produced a sensational final round of 70 (-2) to claim the U21 Boys title in style. His round included six birdies, highlighted by a superb 33 (-3) on the back nine, sealing a three-day total of 220 (+4). In a tightly contested leaderboard, his composed finish proved the difference.

Tied for second on 222 (+6) were Oliver Camargo-Jones and Antoni Hawkins. Camargo-Jones closed strongly with a brilliant 33 (-3) back nine of his own during the final round, while Hawkins remained in contention throughout the week with consistent scoring across all three rounds.

Ewan Widor and Ernie Elford shared fourth place on 225 (+9). Widor showed resilience once again, while Elford capped off an impressive week — not only finishing T4 in the U21 Boys category but also securing victory in the U15 Mixed category. Adding to his highlight reel, Elford recorded another eagle on Day 3, this time on Hole 2, continuing his remarkable scoring streak after earlier success in the tournament.

U21 Girls – Mejer Dominates with Historic Performance

Ebba Mejer delivered a championship performance to win the U21 Girls title in spectacular fashion. She fired an incredible 69 (-3) in the final round — matching her outstanding second-round 69 — to finish the tournament at 215 (-1 overall). Mejer was the only player across the entire field to finish under par for the tournament.

Her final round included eight birdies and an eagle on Hole 13, while her tournament total of 19 birdies was the highest recorded by any player all week. Calm under pressure and clinical with her scoring, Mejer truly dominated the field over the final two days.

Olivia Costello secured second place on 220 (+4) after also shooting under par in the final round with a 71 (-1), recording four birdies to keep the pressure on until the closing holes.

Maria Khristenko claimed third on 233 (+17), with Laetitia Vandeplas and Maria Moczarska tied for fourth on 237 (+21) to round off the U21 Girls leaderboard.

With another unforgettable event complete, attention now turns to the final stop of the series: The Triple A Final at San Roque Old Course, 18–20 March, where the 25/26 season will reach its thrilling conclusion.
