The opening round of the Triple A European Classic delivered exactly what players, parents and spectators had hoped for — flawless weather, pristine fairways, and top-level junior golf on display at the stunning San Roque Golf & Resort.

With no wind, clear blue skies and perfect scoring conditions, the final Triple A event of 2025 couldn’t have asked for a better start — and the leaderboard quickly reflected that.

U21 Boys – Seppälä Sets the Pace

It was a flying start in the Boys U21 division as Anton Seppälä fired a superb opening round of 67 (-5) to take the early lead. A round packed with confidence and precision, Seppälä’s scorecard featured six birdies, setting a high standard and putting pressure on the rest of the field from the very first day.

Just three shots behind him, Fraser Walters kept himself firmly in contention with a steady 70 (-2), showing impressive consistency across the course.

Tied third place, Tito Von Hesson and Sean Widor both posted strong opening rounds of 71 (-1), keeping things tight near the top. Meanwhile, a tightly packed chasing group sees eight players tied for fifth at level par, ensuring that the battle for the podium is wide open heading into Day 2.

U21 Girls – Strong Starts at the Top

The Girls U21 Division saw two standout performances as Maria Khristenko and Matilde Simeoni jointly claimed the lead after finishing the round on 69 (-3).

Khristenko’s round featured five birdies and a stunning eagle on the 16th hole, a moment that lifted her momentum and the atmosphere around the course. Simeoni matched her score with five birdies of her own, producing a composed and controlled round to remain right alongside the lead.

In third place, Blanca Libera finished level par after carding four birdies, staying well within striking distance as the Classic unfolds.

Not far behind, Siria Ballini and Stella Walters are tied for fourth after rounds of 73 (+1), meaning the leaderboard remains incredibly close with everything still to play for.
